Cover influences

I have looked on Google at music magazine covers not only to deconstruct them, but to also find some inspiration for how I am going to design my magazine when it comes to the time of making it.
I have found 2 music magazine covers that I really like the look of and will be using elements of when I start creating and planning out the cover's design. Since my magazine will be on rock music, most of the inspiration will come from Kerrang magazine. What I like about these covers is the main image, the faces that these people pull give off some impression and it gets you interested in the headline before you read it.
There is also a variety of images of people on them which seems to be running trend with them, I will do the same.
The headlines are very vague and informal and since there is no context, a general person won't know what its about, however I think thats the point, to get people to buy your product you have to make people curious, which I think the decisions of the main image, odd headlines and putting a lot of content on the cover does that.
